OPPORTUNITIES
Apply for the fall 2023 Civic Academy. The application period closes at 5 p.m. on Friday, August 25. Through the nationally recognized Civic Academy, participants learn from local experts and leaders, network with other residents and act on what they’ve learned. Since 2007, nearly 900 residents from around the region have completed the academy. It is a great opportunity for emerging leaders interested in learning more about regional issues and developing their civic capacity. Topics covered will include transportation, economic vitality, housing, civic engagement and more. Each session of the course will consist of presentations by subject matter experts, small group interactions and networking. Beyond the group sessions, participants will develop individual action plans to put into place upon completing the academy.
