Consumer sentiment improved to its highest level since June in December, according to the most recent survey by Reuters and the University of Michigan. The survey noted a 3.6-point increase in the measure from November to post 67.7, with its index of present conditions posting a measure of 77.9 and its index of consumer expectations posting 61.1.
