Consumer sentiment improved in June, according to the most recent survey by Reuters and the University of Michigan. The survey noted a 0.3-point increase in the measure from May to post 69, with its index of consumer expectations posting a 4.0-point decrease to 65.4. Economists had forecasted the overall measure to post 71.0 in the period.
